RPS strings. Length of ball end cover. Albert Lee HH

My Albert Lee HH busts 9s and 11s at the point where the string goes into the tremolo base plate. It’s a sharp angle. Is the protective cover on RPS strings long enough to reach beyond that point? I.e Is the protective wire visible behind the bridge on a Strat / Albert lee?
Cant source locally so asking before buying in bulk on line.
