Someone please reassure me this is OK

Since getting the PDN, my first love, the ’07 Axis, hasn’t been getting as much quality time. I pulled her out of the case last night, and noticed a flaw in the neck. It’s very hard to see, even harder to photograph, but I’ve circled it in the photo as best I can. It begins between the fourth and fifth frets and extends down almost to the third. I can’t feel it with my thumb when playing, but if I brush a fingernail across it, it catches. If the neck had a finish on it, I’d think it was a small crack in the finish, but of course, it doesn’t.

I tried to tell myself to just keep an eye on it and not worry about it, but naturally, I’ve been obsessing over it since I discovered it. As much as I love the PDN, this one’s still my baby, and I can’t even bring myself to use the c word to describe what’s going on here.
