Sterling Luke Pickups really squealing – help

I just got in my Sterling Luke with the 2 Silver pickups in it. I am having an issue with it squealing sitting in front of my studio monitors and using my amp. I am not playing very distorted or too loud but I am getting alot of this at mid level volume. I am trying to figure out why its happening with these specific pickups. Is there anything I can do besides replace them? Would the Dimarzio Transitions that come in the EB model be a lot better in this case? This is the only guitar I have so far that does this.
