D’Addario gears up for Autumn with new accessories

D’Addario is setting the stage for Autumn with a collection of new accessories, some available immediately, some on 1st September.

Available immediately are dedicated picks for ukulele players and a packaged collection of guitar maintenance accessories. Available in September will be Acrylux picks, a guitar and bass multi-tool and a new design of guitar strap lock.

D’Addario says traditional picks can produce a harsh tone on strings, which is why felt has been the go-to material for ukulele picks for years. The new D’Addario Ukulele Felt Pick uses a stiff felt: ‘…for more projection and more articulate picking while maintaining a warm tone’. The elliptical cutout provides extra grip and flexibility. The company adds that as well as suiting ukuleles, the new felt picks can also be used for bass guitar. A pack of for will retail for RRP £7.70. A pack of 25 for £38.50.
The guitar and bass care kits combine a selection of D’Addario maintenance accessories valued at £123 for RRP £92 each and come in a folding wallet.
Arriving in September, the Acrylux series guitar picks are available in two different blends, Reso and Nitra, which offer two distinct tones while providing the grip and output that is characteristic of acrylic picks. The Reso version comes in transparent red, made of pure acrylic for a brighter tone, while the Nitra is black pearl, made from an acrylic and nitrate blend for a warmer tone. They come in standard and jazz shapes. Three-packs – RRP £11.49. 25-pick bulk packs, for “per pick” sales – £69.00.

D’Addario’s Dual-Lock Strap Lock provides additional instrument protection without need of modification to straps. The Dual-Lock clips onto an existing strap button, preventing the strap from releasing accidentally. Additionally, the Dual-Lock can be clipped onto an instrument cable, securing the cable to an instrument to prevent the plug from being pulled unintentionally from the input jack. Sold in pairs, they will retail for £3.50, while the new multi-tool, also new in September will sell for £17.49.
