First MI only auction house set for October debut

First MI only auction house set for October debut

The UK’s first auction house solely dedicated to the buying and selling of guitars, amps and musical instruments will be launched at the Northampton Guitar Show on Sunday 7th October, with its first  auctions planned for next Spring.

Called The Guitar Auction House, the organisers are Rob Hatschek (My Classic Guitars) and Ken Dixon (Mojo Guitar Shows) who are bringing their combined experience with guitars to the next project.

‘We are extremely excited about this new venture’, says Rob Hatschek. ‘We have already had a lot of interest from collectors asking for advice on how to go about selling their collections’.

‘There is just nothing else like it in the market,’, adds Ken Dixon. ‘This dedicated Auction House will be the ideal platform and will be supported by several other industry experts’.

Rob Hatschek has been in the music industry for over 25 years, playing in signed bands and has managed artists both sides of the Atlantic and previously a part owner in a successful music publishing company. He says  ‘My Classic Guitars’ was started as a vehicle to buy and sell vintage guitars, whist adding to his own collection.

Ken Dixon has been buying and selling guitars for over 20 years and for the past 12 years has been successfully running Mojo Guitar Shows in the North of England.
