Tone up launches stainless saddles

Slovenia’s Sever Innovations has launched a range of replacement stainless steel electric guitar string saddles from its Tone Up range of guitar hardware.

Sever’s replacement parts include saddles, springs, intonation screws and saddle-height adjustment screws and the company claims that one of the key advantages of stainless steel compared to mild steel, zinc or brass is that stainless has the fastest sound frequency transmission and natural sustaining properties…..and of course, it won’t corrode or rust.

The parts also include palm-friendly saddles with recessed height adjustment screws and elliptical intonation springs, which help maintain continuity of string frequencies and enhance sustain. It also, Sever claims, applies even pressure across the back of the saddle and the lip of the base plate. ‘This attention to detail, maintains saddle orientation and prevents sideways movement of the saddle itself when string bending.’

Tone Up stainless steel electric guitar string saddles come in 10.4mm, 10.8mm, 11.2mm string spacing sets and are priced at RRP £45 each.
