TC adds Quintessence Harmonizer
TC Electronic has announced the Quintessence Harmonizer – the latest addition to the company’s huge range of effects pedals.
Described as a ‘sophisticated TonePrint harmonizer with MASH for real-time harmony shifting’ the Quintessence is an advanced, dual-voiced harmonizer featuring TonePrints and a wealth of different modes and exotic scales to play, as well as a latch/momentary mode footswitch.
TC says that what really sets it apart is its MASH footswitch. In the default settings, the MASH footswitch allows for organically bending up the harmonised note to the next interval of the determined scale. But using the free TonePrint editor, a user can assign MASH to almost anything, for example using MASH to gently fade away a dry signal, or to switch between the two different harmony options. Players can even MASH to change scales.
Available in mid October, no UK price has been announced but the US MAP will be $149.
