ESP announces 16 new LTD guitars and bass models for 2021

ESP has announced a wide selection of new guitar and bass models making up the first “phase” of its 2021 catalogue.

These first models offer fresh takes on some classic LTD models – though nothing from the more premium ESP front has been unveiled just yet. It’s likely we’ll see them show up in phase two.
EC-1000 models
LTD EC-1000T CTM (Tobacco Sunburst and Thru Black Cherry)
Image: ESP GuitarsThis more classic take on the EC-1000 features a full-thickness body that’s chambered for weight relief. It offers two Fishman Open Core Classic humbuckers that route to push-pull control settings for added voicing options. You can find this guitar in either Tobacco Sunburst or Thru Black Cherry.
LTD EC-1000 EverTune BB
Image: ESP GuitarsThe BB in its name refers to this model’s extra-thick metallic silver bold binding. Equipped for modern rock, this guitar fits an EMG 60TW-R in the neck and an EMG 81 humbucker in the bridge. The former can also be coil-split via a push-pull control. There’s also an EverTune bridge to keep things in tune.
LTD EC-1000 (Gold Andromeda)
Image: ESP GuitarsThe EC-1000 Gold Andromeda sports an eye-catching iridescent finish that emits different hues when viewed from different angles. That gets paired against all gold hardware for an elegant look.
This model also features a set of Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers – alnico in the neck and ceramic in the bridge. Its premium features are completed with a push-pull voice selector and a TonePro locking bridge set.
Black Metal Series models
LTD EC-FR Black Metal
Image: ESP GuitarsThe EC-FR Black Metal divebombs deeper into metal territory with the addition of a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge. This model also comes outfitted with stainless steel frets, a single direct-mount Seymour Duncan Blackened Black Winter pickup, and a push-pull control on the volume knob for coil-splitting.
LTD F Black Metal
Image: ESP GuitarsAs if it wasn’t metal enough, ESP’s extreme F-shape guitar now comes in a Black Metal Series edition. This guitar features a neck-thru-body design and an extra thin U-shaped neck for playing comfort. It offers a single EMG 81 active humbucker and an EMG TKO kill switch. Completing this guitar is a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge and TonePro locking tuners.
LTD Arrow-NT Black Metal
Image: ESP GuitarsThis sharp guitar gets the Black Metal treatment and features a host of shred-focused features. These include a TonePros locking bridge and string-thru-body design, stainless steel frets, as well as the active EMG 81 humbucker and TKO kill switch.
Bass models
LTD M-4 Black Metal
Image: ESP GuitarsThe M series of bass guitars gains a new member in the M-4 Black Metal, a straightforward rock rhythm machine. This model features a slab body with a pointed inline headstock. It features a bolt-on design at 34-inch scale and offers a single direct-mount EMG 35CS at the bridge position. There’s also Grover tuners, a Gotoh bridge and stainless steel frets.
LTD Phoenix 1004
Image: ESP GuitarsThe second bass introduced for 2021 is the Phoenix 1004, which is reminiscent of another classic bird from the school of rock bass design. This model is finished in a sleek black finish and offers EMG 35P4 and EMG35J humbuckers for greater tonal variety.
MH and H series models
LTD MH-1000 and MH-1007 EverTune
Image: ESP GuitarsThis guitar comes in two editions: the Dark Brown Sunburst edition comes equipped with EMG 60TW-R and EMG 81 pickups, while the Snow White edition has a set of Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers. Both employ EverTune constant tension bridge for improved tuning stability and feature Grover tuners and stainless steel frets. Meanwhile, the MH-1007 EverTune Snow White is the same model with a seven-string design.
LTD Deluxe H-1001

The H-1001 offers a direct-mount Seymour Duncan Sentient humbucker in the neck and a Pegasus in the bridge with push-pull coil splitting talents. There’s also a Hipshot bridge with a string-thru design and stainless steel frets.
TE and PS-1 series models
TE-1000 EverTune KOA

The TE-1000 EverTune Koa combines a classic look with modern metal-focused appointments. There’s an EMG 66TW active humbucker in the neck and an EMG 57 humbucker in the bridge. The former can also be coil-split for more tones on tap.
TE-1000 Black Blast
Image: ESP GuitarsOf course, the TE-1000 also comes in black. As the name implies, this one sports a dramatic sandblasted finish for an intense look. That gets paired to a roasted maple neck with stainless steel frets. It offers a different set of pickups as well: a Seymour Duncan Sentient humbucker in the neck and a Pegagus in the bridge.
LTD Xtone PS-1 in Vintage White and Pearl Pink
Image: ESP GuitarsThe more semi-hollow LTD Xtone PS-1 gets two new finishes for 2021, Vintage White and Pearl Pink. These versatile electrics sport mahogany bodies,maple necks and a set of high-output LH-150 humbuckers, designed in-house. According to ESP, these versatile instruments should cover genres from “metal to pop to indie to jazz to reggae to just about anything you want to do musically”.
SN1-HT and Arrow-1000
SN1-HT

There’s a single Fishman Open Core Classic pickup with push-pull talents for accessing multiple voicings. The guitar also has a roasted maple neck with stainless steel frets and a Hipshot hardtail bridge with a string-thru design.
Arrow-1000
Image: ESP GuitarsThe LTD Deluxe Arrow-1000 now comes in a Candy Apple Red satin finish. This metal-focused machine features a neck-thru-body design, a Floyd Rose 1000SE bridge for dive bombing action and a set of active humbuckers: an EMG 85 in the neck and an EMG 81 in the bridge. There are also Grover tuners and 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets.
