Fender announces the Flame Maple Top Stratocaster HSS Thinline
Fender has added the Flame Maple Top Stratocaster HSS Thinline to their growing Rarities series of electric guitars.
The new limited-edition Strat features a flame maple top with a Violin Burst finish and a semi-hollow mahogany body. The neck is made of solid rosewood with a modern deep C profile and is matched with a 22-fret, 9.5”-radius rosewood fingerboard.
The Flame Maple Top Stratocaster HSS Thinline comes loaded with two Custom Shop ’69 Strat single coils in the neck and middle positions, along with a Custom Double-Tap Humbucker in the bridge. The standard five-way selector switch allows the user to activate each pickup individually or blend it with its adjacent counterpart.
Splitting the Double-Tap humbucker can be achieved with the S-1 switch integrated into the master volume knob, while the remaining two tone knobs can be used to manage the high frequencies of the neck and middle/bridge pickups.
Other hardware features of the Flame Maple Top Stratocaster HSS Thinline include a two-point synchronised tremolo bridge system, Fender Standard Cast/Sealed Staggered Tuner and nickel/chrome hardware. The guitar will also ship with a brown hardshell case.
