The Cory Wong Stratocaster’s features are based on Wong’s own instrument. It has a slightly scaled-down alder body, finished in transparent sapphire blue. There’s a modern D maple neck, topped with a rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges and a compound 10-14-inch radius.
Electronics consist of a set of Seymour Duncan Cory Wong Clean Machine pickups for classic Strat sounds, along with a push-pull pot on the second tone control that bypasses the five-way switch and defaults to position four. Also included are a Cory Wong hair tie for muting the vibrato’s springs, a set of rubber strap locks and a custom neck plate.
Wong said of the instrument: “I needed a guitar that was going to give me the full-on funk clean tone spectrum that I use, but also be versatile enough to use for pop, blues, country or rock gigs.” He’s known for his incredibly percussive playing style, whether that’s in his solo projects or in the offbeat funk of Vulfpeck.
You can hear the guitar in action below.

The guitar Lists for $1,999.99 / £2,249 / €2,499 and is available now.
