Modern multi-effects processors come in all shapes and sizes, from super-powered digital behemoths to boutique devices with artist associations – here’s our pick of the best of the last 12 months…

Line 6 Helix LT

When Line 6 debuted the original Helix in 2016, we were suitably impressed by the sounds, build and functionality of the effects giant’s new flagship floorboard – the only downside, really, was the price that all this technology would set you back.
The new LT solves that problem – with some sensible stripping back of some of the full-fat Helix’s bells and whistles, you get all the excellent tones and convenience of its big brother for a substantial chunk less.
