Guitar.com deals of the week: these are the best discounts we could find at Thomann and Sweetwater
What with Thomann’s Guitar Days and Sweetwater’s Guitar Month, September is proving to be a fabulous month for savvy guitarists that love a discount. In some cases, prices have dropped by thousands – so it’s a great time to cash in and get plenty of bang for your buck. To help you out, we’ve even picked out some of the very best deals currently on offer.
First up, one of the biggest savings comes in the form of the ESP Alex Skolnick Signature. This single-cut Lemon Burst electric boasts a mahogany body, a 12” radius neck with rosewood fingerboard, Seymour Duncan Alex Skolnick signature humbuckers, and an absolutely mad discount of $2,000. That’s right, this guitar is down to $7,499 rather than its usual price point of $9,499.

Another high-ticket savings come in the form of PRS’ 40th Anniversary Custom 24 electric guitar. Available in classy brown and orange Tiger Eye, Tiger Eye Micro Wraparound Burst and blue Sub Zero, the guitar has dropped in price by $1,370 – meaning you can get it for just $5,480 instead of $6,850. It’s a great saving on a solid mahogany electric, offering a slim 10” radius ziricote fingerboard with Old School Bird inlays, PRS DMO humbuckers and a 5-way switch.
There are plenty of $200 price drops, too. Guild’s fuzzy, ‘60s-surf-rock-inspired Surfliner Solidbody Electric Guitar is currently $299.99 in its White Sage edition, while Fender’s marvellous American Professional II GT11 Stratocaster with upgraded 6-point tremolo and Fender Custom Shop Fat ’60s pickups is $1,899.99 instead of $2,099.99.
