Harley Benton announces new MultiScale 7- and 8-string DLX series

Following on from its recent release of the Amarok series, a run of 12 budget-friendly metal-focused guitars, Harley Benton has announced the new MultiScale DLX seven- and eight-string models.
The guitars take a few visual design cues from the Amarok models, such as the recessed three-way pickup selector switch and style of finish, but there are a few key differences. The five-ply modern C neck is bolt-on, and the pickups are Roswell covered humbuckers as opposed to EMGs. Of course, the main difference is the fanned frets – with a scale-length varying between 25.51 and 27 inches for both the seven and eight-strings. This ends in a string-through mono-rail tailpiece, with individual saddles. At the other end of things, there’s a graphite nut,and WSC diecast locking tuners.
Control-wise, there’s a simple arrangement of a master tone and volume, along with the aforementioned three-way switch.
The basswood body comes with a number of finish options, depending on the number of strings. The MultiScale-8 DLX comes in quilted emerald or black burst, while the MultiScale-7 DLX comes in transparent gloss red or black satin burst.
The MultiScale-7 lists for £249, and the MultiScale-8 starts at £338. Find out more over at harleybenton.com. For more guitar news, click here.
