Ibanez’s new AEWC10 acoustics come in some striking metallic finishes
Ibanez has announced a new acoustic model, the AEWC10, which comes in three metallic finishes – all with a matching headstock. The model joins other more traditionally-finished models in the range such as the AEWC400 and AEW300.
The guitar features a dramatic single-cutaway shape, with the lower horn scooping away at an obtuse angle to the neck.
The guitar’s construction consists of a spruce top, sapele back and sides, a nyatoh neck and a walnut bridge and fretboard. The neck, featuring 20 frets, completes a 634 mm scale length. The body, headstock and soundhole rosette also feature subtle black-white-black water-decal binding.
The bridge is loaded with Ibanez’s unique advantage pins, featuring a tapered bottom for easier string changes and better stability.
In terms of electrics, there’s an undersaddle pickup – powered by an Ibanez AEQ-2T preamp, with an in-built tuner and bass, treble and volume controls.
The three available finishes are Silver Metallic, Dark Gold Metallic and Rose Gold Metallic.
