JHS Pedals launches NOTADÜMBLË: A DIY kit that channels Dumble magic for just $119

JHS Pedals has a knack for distilling legendary sounds into accessible, player-friendly formats. In 2023, the company released NOTAKLÖN, a solderless DIY pedal kit offering guitarists a taste of one of the most coveted overdrive pedals in the world for just under $100.
Now, with the unveiling of the new NOTADÜMBLË DIY kit, the brand invites players of all levels to capture the elusive dual-channel Dumble magic – right at their own workbench.

As its name cheekily suggests, the NOTADÜMBLË kit takes aim at the sound and spirit of Alexander “Howard” Dumble’s iconic amps, known for their lush tones, rarity and sky-high price tags.
For just $119, you get a two-in-one pedal that lets you choose between the soaring, violin-y tones of players like Joe Bonamassa, Santana and Eric Johnson, or the huge clean tones of those like John Mayer.
“With the flip of a slider switch, you can go between two highly sought after sounds that are as magical and rare as it gets,” says JHS.
Both channels are easily tweakable, with dedicated controls for Input and Output for the clean channel, and Drive, EQ, and Volume for the overdrive. There’s also an internal trimpot for dialing in upper-mids and treble frequencies in the gain stage.

Just like the NOTAKLÖN, the NOTADÜMBLË is a solderless build, making it ideal for players of all experience levels. The kit comes with everything you need, from pre-fitted circuit boards to a tube of “goop” for that authentic boutique mystique. Assembly reportedly takes just 20 minutes.
Considering that original Dumble amps have sold for well over $150,000, the NOTADÜMBLË’s $119 price tag feels like a no-brainer for tone chasers. As JHS puts it, the pedal “puts a half-million dollars of tone at your feet.”
While all initial units have sold out within a day of launch, the company has confirmed that a restock is on the way. If you missed the first run, mark your calendar: the NOTADÜMBLË returns on 12 May at 4pm CDT.
