Ministry debut new song, Alert Level

Industrial metal outfit Ministry released a new single entitled Alert Level, last Friday (24 April). The track comes off the band’s forthcoming studio effort, and second collaboration with Germany-based Nuclear Blast Records.
The song’s release was accompanied with a lyrics video, as well as a statement from the band which read: “With a new election on the horizon and America still on the brink, Al Jourgensen has re-entered the studio to create his missives that will become material for a to-be-announced new album on Nuclear Blast Records.” See the full post here.
A day after Alert Level’s release, the band took to social media to open a dialogue with fans about current events and the song’s lyrical content. They wrote:
“With the release of our latest single, Alert Level, we are asking our fans to be a part of the larger conversation by answering the central question posed in the song: ‘How concerned are you?’ Tell us how you feel in a brief 30 seconds or less video posted to your socials using #ministryalertlevel” See the full post below:

Ministry announced in January that they would be headlining a show at the Showbox in Seattle, Washington with KMFDM and Front Line Assembly. As of press time, the show is still scheduled to happen on 1 July.
In other Ministry news, Billboard reported earlier this year that two women have stepped forward to accuse Ministry guitarist Sin Quirin of engaging with them in underage sexual relationships. The alleged chain of events was said to have begun in 2002, before Quirrin joined the band.
