Mooer announces its latest multi-effects processor: the GE250

Mooer has announced the GE250, a multi-effects processor that provides a midrange alternative to the GE300.
The pedal follows the same general format as Mooer’s other multi-effects units: a screen displays the current settings of the pedal, with rotary controls to select between different effects and amp models.
For the standard function of the pedal as a multi-effects pedal, there are 11 blocks in which you can load any combination of 180 effects units. These can be configured to work in front of the amp simulation, or as part of an effects loop. And speaking of amp simulation, there are 70 stock amps included in the GE250, as well as 32 impulse-response-based speaker cabinet models. The support for third-party IRs has also been expanded to allow for higher-resolution files.
If the amps pre-loaded in the GE250 don’t quite cut it, or you don’t want to abandon your regular amp rig, the unit also lets you use Tone Capture to create a model of your real amplifier.

The extra functionality of the pedal includes a built-in tuner, 60 drum tracks, 10 metronome options and a 70-second capacity looper.
The GE250 is available today (18 December) and lists for $499 / €449 / ₤399 More information at mooeraudio.com.
