Peavey has introduced the new version of the Delta Woods range of acoustic guitars. The trio of affordable instruments offers a variety of options for those looking for an acoustic under $250.

The three instruments in the range, the DW-1, DW-2, and DW-2 CE, all have a spruce top, and mahogany back and sides. They all also have a rosewood fretboard with pearloid inlays, and hand-carved bracing for “even tone distribution throughout each guitar’s range.” All are also finished in natural satin.
Peavey also notes that each has “high-end appointments” including “sealed tuning machines for precise and accurate tuning, pre-installed strap buttons, a compensated saddle for ideal intonation, and a wood truss rod cover for the dual-action truss rod”
The DW-2 CE is the highest-end model in the range, and hence features a preamp with a 3-band EQ and a presence control, as well as a chromatic tuner.
The DW-1 with bag lists for $169.99, the DW-2 without a case for $199.99, and the DW-2CE without a case for $249.99. Full details are forthcoming, as at the moment there is no mention of any acoustic instruments on Peavey’s website.
The last Peavey guitar launch we took a look at was the relaunch of the HP-2. The HP series was the continuation of the Wolfgang guitar range, developed as a signature for Eddie Van Halen. He split with the brand in 2004, going on to form his own EVH brand. Less than a month after Van Halen’s death, the brand resumed production on the HP-2, citing the model’s “renewed vintage appeal.”
