PRS launches a limited Powder Blue edition of the SE P20E
PRS has launched a limited edition of its SE P20E parlour acoustic mode, which comes finished in a striking powder blue.
The guitar will only have 1,000 units available worldwide. It retails all of the specifications of the main SE P20E guitars, with the addition of the powder blue solid mahogany top. Other construction points include PRS’ own hybrid X/Classical bracing method, meaning the top can freely vibrate for extra projection – meaning more volume than you’d expect from such a small instrument. The body construction is all-mahogany, while the bridge and fretboard are ebony, and the nut and saddle are bone.
This edition of the guitar also comes loaded with the Fishman GT1 pickup system – this features an under-saddle pickup and soundhole mounted preamp, with easy-to-access volume and tone controls.
PRS’ COO, Jack Higginbotham, said of the colourful launch: “The SE parlor acoustics have been received very well by players at all levels, and from their inception, we thought this would be a good platform to have a bit of fun with colour. From Davy Knowles to PRS Pulse Artist Sophia Gripari to thousands of players at home, these guitars offer a new and unique tool for writing, home-recording, and getting lost in playing for hours without ending up with a sore strumming shoulder.”
