Randy Rhoads’ stolen guitar and amplifier have been returned to his family

A guitar and an amplifier head originally belonging to Randy Rhoads have been returned to his family, after being stolen in 2019.
Rhoads’ sister Kathy Rhoads D’Argenzio took to Instagram to reveal that the two items had been returned safely after well over a year of searching. The initial robbery of The Musonia School Of Music, run by Rhoads’ estate, took place on Thanksgiving night 2019.
Alongside the Harmony guitar and Marshall head that were stolen, there was a Peavey amp head used in Quiet Riot and 40 years worth of fan gifts to the Rhoads family. Some of these are seemingly yet to be recovered, however, in December 2019 a fan happened across some of the items in a skip.

Kathy Rhoads D’Argenzio wrote of the guitar and amp’s return: “YES! It’s OFFICIAL! And you heard it CORRECT! It’s BACK. It’s been a CRAZY ‘Randy week’ for sure, but this is beyond awesome as well! I am so thankful for this… No words.
Notably, she added that she “CANNOT answer ANY Questions, as this is an ONGOING INVESTIGATION. So don’t ask!”
She added” “Wow! Absolutely AMAZING! But trust me…I will ‘follow up’ when I can!! Thanks everyone for all your concerns and love.”
D’Argenzio also thanked the North Hollywood Police Department for their continued recovery efforts.
Following the initial theft, singer Ozzy Osbourne announced a $25,000 reward for the return of the items. He stated at the time: “as you can imagine, the items that were stolen, including Randy’s first electric guitar, are irreplaceable to the Rhoads Family. I am heartbroken that these treasured physical memories of Randy and Delores have been taken from the family.”
