Solar guitars adds two more models to the Type S Series

Solar Guitars, run by Swedish guitar player Ola Englund, has added two new models to its Type S line. The S1.6 Poplar Purple Burl and the S2.6FBL Flame Blue Matte both feature Solar’s characteristically aggressive design through deep contours and the reverse weaponised headstock.
The 1.6 Poplar Purple Burl guitar features a mahogany body with a beautiful poplar burl top, whilst also including a five-ply maple and jotoba neck with an ebony fretboard, neck-through construction and also features the Solar logo at the 12th fret. Hardware and electronics include 18:1 Solar locking tuners and an EverTune bridge, with two Seymour Duncan Solar pickups in neck and bridge respectively.
Similar to the 1.6 Poplar Purple Burl model is the Type S2.6FBL in Flame Blue Matte. The guitar includes the Seymour Duncan Solar pickups previously mentioned, along with the same scale length and neck-thru construction. 24 frets and an extremely flat 13.78-inch fretboard radius complete the package, whilst the mahogany body is finished with a flame maple veneer on top and also sports a hardtail bridge.
These new Type S electrics are available to order now and ship around Halloween.
The S2.6FBL is priced at €749 (£659, $825 approx) while the S1.6 Poplar Purple Burl retails for €1,199 (£1,059, $1,320 approx).
