Watch Marcus King Wildflowers & Wine on Fallon
Marcus King has appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, to perform the track Wildflowers & Wine, taken from his solo album El Dorado.
The song sees King demonstrate his guitar ability thanks to a red Fender Telecaster, used for many a soulful lick throughout the song as well as a blistering country-blues infused solo. Take a look below:
The album the song is taken from, El Dorado, arrived in January, and was recorded at Dan Auerbach’s (of The Black Keys) own Easy Eye Studio. More recently, El Dorado earned a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album.
During the Fallon performance of Wildflowers & Wine, King is joined by a full backing band, which includes singer-songwriter Maggie Rose on backing vocals.
Earlier this year, King hosted Four Of A Kind, a live stream performance series to benefit MusiCare’s COVID-19 relief fund. The four-episode series streams live from Nashville, and will feature guest artists from the likes of Billy Strings, Brent Hinds of Mastodon and Devon Gilfillian.
