My Piezo system doesn't work after a couple of months

I’ve had this guitar for a couple of months now and I love it, but the piezo system doesn’t work anymore, anytime that I turn it on no sound comes out. I’ve tried changing the batteries along with making sure the guitar is in mono but it still doesn’t work.

Is there something I’m missing?
