Stingray Special Headstock/Neck Different Colors

I’ve been looking into picking up a Stingray Special over the last couple days. I was viewing some of the in-stock photos of different models on Sweetwater’s website, and I noticed that there is a clear distinction between headstock and neck color. I thought maybe it was specific to that particular model, but it appears to be the case on all the models with ebony fretboards ( haven’t checked the other).

Just wondering if this is intentional, and if so, is there a particular reason for it?
