David Crosby calls out Mike Love of the Beach Boys, saying he “most assuredly has no talent at all”

David Crosby has laid criticism on Mike Love, saying on Twitter that the Beach Boys co-founder and vocalist “most assuredly has no talent at all”.
Mike Love currently helms the touring edition of the Beach Boys – without co-founders Brian Wilson and Al Jardine – which just a few days ago (18 October) headlined a Trump fundraiser at Newport Beach, California.
A Twitter follower asked Crosby: “What do you think about the Beach Boys voting to let Mike Love use the name of the band to endorse the cult leader?” To which the Byrds co-founder replied, “Those aren’t the Beach Boys and I doubt they voted.”
“Mike Love is, in the opinion of almost every musician I know, a shithead, most assuredly has no talent at all, and, as you can probably tell… I just don’t like him,” Crosby continued.

In a separate tweet, Crosby wrote that “Brian [Wilson] was the Beach Boys, […] Mike Love should retire and let it be done”.

I have to agree …Brian was the Beachboys …no Wilson’s no Beachboys …Mike Love should retire and let it be done ….. https://t.co/l33t3nw7hR

Both Brian Wilson and Al Jardine have rebuked the Beach Boys’ performance at the Trump fundraiser, telling Global News via a spokesperson, “We have absolutely nothing to do with the Trump benefit in Newport Beach. Zero.”
Last week, Crosby was criticised for his comments about the late Eddie Van Halen. When asked on Twitter what he thought of the late guitar icon, Crosby responded “Meh…” which led to significant backlash over social media.
Crosby since clarified his tweet, stating that his terse response was “an answer that was not cool”, adding, “the even more embarrassing truth is I didn’t even remember he had just died or I would have kept my mouth shut. I do make mistakes. No offence intended”,
