Godin Guitars expands the Radium with a matte green model
Canada’s Godin Guitars has launched a new version of its Radium guitar, finished in matte green. The model name comes from a portmanteau of the Radiator and the Stadium, the two models that the Radium inherits features from.

The new finish joins the two transparent finishes the guitar launched with in 2020: Winchester Brown and Carbon Black. The Radium is a combination of each end of the singlecut electric design spectrum. It’s loaded with three pickups (in HSH configuration), and, like a T-type, has a thin body with a belly carve and a 5-way blade selector switch fitted into a vintage-style control plate. Like a traditional LP-type, however, the guitar has a 3-per-side headstock, a short scale of 24.75”, and a set neck.
Combining with the versatility of the HSH pickup layout, a push-pull tone pot allows for the humbuckers to be split for neck and bridge single-coil tones. The bridge is a stop-bar wraparound unit, while the body is constructed with Canadian Laurentian basswood. The set neck is mahogany, topped with a rosewood fretboard.
