Godin launches the new Montreal Premiere LTD Imperial Blue with ‘breath-through’ core

Godin Guitars has launched a new semi-hollow electric, the Montreal Premiere LTD Imperial Blue.
The guitar joins the previously-launched Montreal Premiere HT, however unlike that model’s tune-o-matic hardtail bridge, this one has a Bigsby vibrato unit.
Construction makes use of Godin’s proprietary ‘Breathe-Through’ centre as part of its semi-hollow Canadian wild cherry body. The mahogany neck is topped with a 22-fret rich-lite fingerboard, with a relatively flat 12-inch radius. The Imperial Blue finish is accented with double white binding and a white pearloid pickguard. The guitar has a 24.75-inch scale length.
Electronics-wise, there’s a TV Jones Classic in the neck and a TV Jones Classic Plus in the bridge. These are controlled by a single volume and tone and a three-way selector switch on the top horn. The TV Jones pickups are accurate replicas of the late-1950s Filter’Tron humbuckers, and are wound for a low output – a great pairing with the semi-hollow construction.
Other hardware includes a 1.72-inch GraphTech nut, a tune-o-matic style bridge and
