The event, held by Julien’s Auctions, took place last Sunday (5 February) as part of the annual MusiCares Charity Relief Auction.
Here, close to fifty iconic items – including instruments, wardrobe, albums and more – were donated by some of the biggest names in music, all to raise funds for good causes.
This time around, it was the impressive number of signed guitars that stole the show. The one sold with the heftiest price tag was a 2022 Joe Perry Signature Gibson Les Paul. Played on stage with Aerosmith and signed by the musician, the axe sold for $25,000 – over six times more than the estimate.

More Les Pauls were among the highest-ranking sales of the night.
This included a Signature, Slash-signed anaconda burst model, which fetched over $22,000, and a model signed by all five members of Fleetwood Mac – including the late Christine McVie – that sold for $19,200.
An Ozzy Osbourne-signed Gibson SG raised the same amount as the Fleetwood axe, as did a Don Felder 2010 Les Paul “Hotel California” 1959 reissue, which was accompanied by a signed music sheet of the iconic Eagles song.
Other guitars that sold at the event included a signed Joni Mitchell Gibson Acoustic Hummingbird model ($10,240), a Robert Plant-signed Gretsch ($16,000) and a black Epiphone acoustic. The latter was donated by Bob Dylan in 2014, and has since been signed by Graham Nash, David Crosby, Bruce Springsteen, Alanis Morissette, Derek Trucks, Jack White and more. It sold for $12,800.

All proceeds raised by the Beverly Hills event will be donated to the MusiCares charity, which supports the health and welfare of those in the music community.
The item that raised the most money during this year’s auction was a pair of white Air Max trainers, which were owned, worn and signed by Eminem. The shoes sold for over $40,600 – twenty times more than the estimated $2,000.
