The Jagger-penned tune landed yesterday (13 April) on YouTube, accompanied by a music video of the two jamming the tune in separate spaces.
Eazy Sleazy, according to the Rolling Stones frontman, was written about life in lockdown. “I wanted to share this song that I wrote about eventually coming out of lockdown, with some much-needed optimism,” he wrote in the video’s description.
“Thank you to Dave Grohl for jumping on drums, bass and guitar, it was a lot of fun working with you on this – hope you all enjoy Eazy Sleazy!”
The lockdown-themed tune makes references to “Zoom calls”, “virtual premieres”,  “TikTok” and “shooting the vaccine”. Jagger sang and played the guitar, while Grohl took on drum, bass and additional guitar duties.
Grohl, sharing Eazy Sleazy on the Foo Fighters’ Twitter account, said the collaboration with Jagger was “beyond a dream come true”.
“It’s hard to put into words what recording this song with Sir Mick Jagger means to me,” he wrote. “And it’s the song of the summer, without a doubt!”

It’s hard to put into words what recording this song with Sir @MickJagger means to me. It’s beyond a dream come true. Just when I thought life couldn’t get any crazier……and it’s the song of the summer, without a doubt!! https://t.co/hudEh7LCN2 https://t.co/irNkf9zgbq

In other Rolling Stones news, new music from the legendary rock band could be in the works. Back in February, guitarist Keith Richards shared a photo of himself in the studio, captioned: “About last night! New music on the horizon!”
The photo was retweeted by The Rolling Stones, leading to speculation that new music was being written for the band, not a solo Keef project.
