Noel Gallagher is sick of Dave Grohl asking about an Oasis reunion: “I haven’t got f**k all to say to him”
Ah, Oasis. While there’s always the odd reunion rumour, the notion of the Gallagher brothers settling their age-long feud feels like a pipe dream. But Dave Grohl is a dog with a bone; the Foo Fighters frontman has been hounding the duo to reunite for years.
Back in 2019, Grohl spoke about the Mancs during his Reading Festival headline slot, urging people sign a petition for the band to reunite. When Noel Gallagher heard about it, he said he’d love to start up a petition to get the Foo Fighters to break up.

Noel certainly has a gripe against Grohl’s incessant badgering. Most recently, Noel made every effort to avoid the Foos frontman at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
Speaking on Matt Morgan’s podcast, the singer explained he simply didn’t have the time to entertain any Oasis-related pestering. “I did actually bump into Dave [Grohl],” he explains. “He was about three feet away from me when I was watching LCD Soundsystem and he was staying in the same hotel I was staying in.”
“I would just like him to wind his fucking neck in about Oasis!” he says. “I wouldn’t talk to him. I haven’t got time for that fucking mob any more. I haven’t got fuck all to say to him. He’s our kid’s mate anyway.”
While Noel remains bemused by Grohl, Liam Gallagher and Grohl seem to get on. Grohl has even gone so far as to call Liam one of the “last remaining rock stars” in a chat with NME.
In terms of an actual Oasis reunion, nothing has been confirmed. Liam recently embarked on a solo tour marking the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ debut, Definitely Maybe, but rumour has it that the tour was originally intended to host both brothers.
The Mirror reported that Liam and Noel had fully booked out Wembley Stadium as a duo before plans fell through.
In a chat with MOJO, Liam confirmed that Noel rejected plans to join him on the recent Definitely Maybe tour. “I did call him,” he admits. “We put an offer on the table for an Oasis thing… and he said no. It was a big tour – a lot of money. He turned it down. I get it, he’s got a divorce going down. I’ll do the Definitely Maybe thing and have a nice time without him.”
Despite Noel never making an appearance, Liam’s celebration of Definitely Maybe has been universally praised. And Liam showed no ill will towards Noel on the tour – he even dedicated Half The World Away to his brother in Cardiff.
