Slipknot has made their complete set at BBC’s legendary Maida Vale Studios available to watch online.
In January, while touring in support of their latest studio release, We Are Not Your Kind, the band made a stop in London for a special one-off performance to a small group of lucky fans. Their six-song set featured a song from each of their studio albums and originally aired on BBC Radio 1’s The Rock Show. They made two videos – Duality and Unsainted – available in February, and now they’ve released all of them.

Footage from the live show also made its way into a new documentary on the band, Slipknot Unmasked: All Out Life which can be streamed on BBC’s website until 13 April. In the documentary, frontman Corey Taylor talks about the thrill of performing live: “From the second it starts, you are willing to do whatever it takes to make this the best show that anybody has ever seen”, he said. “We compare it to jumping out of an aeroplane, with or without a parachute, and you don’t know if it’s going to open or not.”
Slipknot are also among artists who’ve faced tour disruptions due to the coronavirus outbreak. The band were originally slated to embark on an Asian tour from 20 – 29 March, hitting countries like Japan – where they were meant to play two Knotfest dates alongside Korn, Anthrax and more – Singapore, Indonesia and Philippines. These dates have now been postponed.
