Watch Robert Trujillo’s son, Tye, perform with Suicidal Tendencies

Robert Trujillo’s 15-year-old son, Tye Trujillo, filled in on bass for Suicidal tendencies at their recent appearance at SoCal Hoedown on Saturday (5 October).
Robert, who has been the bassist of Metallica since 2003, played in Suicidal Tendencies from 1989 to 1995.
Suicidal Tendencies shared footage of Tye’s performance via their Facebook page. In the post accompanying the video, they reminisced over Tye’s dad’s time in the band: “An amazing bass player, incredible person, and of course also co-founder of Infectious Grooves, that was the start of a lot of great shows, moments, memories and helping take Suicidal Tendencies to another level!”
They, of course, praised the amount of energy Tye brought to the stage on Saturday, saying “his youthful enthusiasm was contagious, his bass skills undeniable.”
Tye Trujillo is no stranger to performing on stage with rock and metal greats, having toured with Korn in 2017, aged just 12.
