A fan at a Tool gig got Eddie Van Halen to take his photo – and probably wishes he got a selfie
A fan attending a Tool gig has sparked amusement online by asking Eddie Van Halen to take his photo – seemingly without realising that he’s one of the most famous guitarists on the planet.
The moment, which happened at Tools recent LA show in support of the long-awaited Fear Inoculum, was shared by Eddie Van Halen’s son, Wolfgang, on twitter:
A guy asked my dad if he could take a picture of him with the stage behind him, having no idea who he just asked, and that was my favorite moment from the @Tool show last night. pic.twitter.com/tA1lywM0yf

This comes after the news that Eddie Van Halen underwent surgery for throat cancer, which reportedly has been successful in keeping “the disease in check.”
Rumours of a Van Halen reunion have also been recently put to rest by David Lee Roth, when he said the band was “finished”.
