Bruce Springsteen, Fountains Of Wayne with Sharon Van Etten and more partake in Jersey 4 Jersey benefit
Bruce Springsteen, Fountains Of Wayne, and many other artists joined together last night (22 April) for the Jersey 4 Jersey benefit live stream.
The stream itself is raising money for the New Jersey Pandemic Relief fund, supporting healthcare workers and those who have lost loved ones to the pandemic.
Springsteen opened up the show along with his wife, musician Patti Scialfa. Together they performed a version of the song Land of Hope and Dreams. Later in the show, the pair returned to play a cover of Tom Waits’ Jersey Girl. Take a look at both performances below.
Fountains of Wayne’s performance paid tribute to their late singer Adam Schlesinger who died from coronavirus at the beginning of this month. The band performed Hackensack, with Sharon Van Etten taking up vocals. The gig was the band’s first for seven years. Singer Chris Collingwood introduced the performance by saying: “This for Adam, his parents, his children and New Jersey.” Take a look at a clip below.
