Collings introduces the C100 Series
These parlour-style acoustic guitars produce impeccable tones. Fresh out of Collings’ workshop is the C100 series, which currently consists of the C100 and the C100 Deluxe. These are the larger siblings of the guitars in the C10 series.
The new models are sleek, but don’t compromise on tone. Their parlour-style bodies are capable of producing rich, commanding tones to match their larger relatives.
Both guitars feature unique specs, including a 4 and 3/4-inch body depth and a bout that’s approximately 16-inches lower than the standard offering. These features contribute to a bright and commanding low-end response that’s well-suited to more aggressive styles.
The guitars’ narrower waists and non-scalloped bracing also afford them the balance and clarity you get from small-bodied instruments.
In terms of tonewoods, both guitars have a Sitka spruce top and Honduran mahogany neck. The C100, however, has Honduran mahogany back and sides, while the Deluxe uses East Indian rosewood.
