Duesenberg teams up with metal guitarist Sascha Paeth on new offset axe

Duesenberg has unveiled a new collaboration with German metal icon Sascha Paeth: an Alliance Series instrument that, most notably, features a snakeskin top.
The brand is quick to clarify, however, that the material is not actually snakeskin, but artificial leather. Duesenberg also revealed the guitar’s new features were added to “support Paeth’s explosive playing style”.
These include a new CAC neck-body transition, a Kill Switch and a sub-volume control. The latter is designed to manage the neck pickup using a roller pot. The Alliance Series Sascha Paeth will be available in a red or black variant. Otherwise, the Alliance Series Sascha Paeth is a solidbody guitar that sports the brand’s Paloma body shape and signature headstock style.
The brand hasn’t officially confirmed the rest of the spec sheet. For pickups, the guitar appears to use a similar configuration to the Alliance Dropkick Murphys: a Duesenberg Domino P-90 (neck) and a Duesenberg GrandVintage Humbucker (bridge). Its hardware specs also seem borrowed from the standard Paloma, featuring a Duesenberg steel saddle bridge with a Diamond Deluxe Tremolo.
Take a closer look at the instrument in a Facebook video Paeth uploaded:
