Epiphone unveils limited-edition signature Lzzy Hale Explorer
Epiphone has announced a limited-edition signature Explorer for Lzzy Hale. With a gold/white colourway and two humbuckers, this axe was designed to match the Halestorm guitarist’s searing playing.
The Explorer features a mahogany body, an ebony fingerboard and a mahogany neck with a Custom C-profile that was designed for Hale. Electronics come in the form of two Epiphone Alnico Classic Pro humbuckers. Though these pups are voiced for a vintage 50s humbucking tone, they have a modern character owing to alnico V magnets with higher outputs.
Looks-wise, Hale’s signature guitar boasts an Alpine White gloss finish complemented by a gold metallic pickguard. The gold theme also carries forward to the speed knobs, LockTone tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece and Grover Rotomatic machine heads.
As a final touch, the Explorer comes with Hale’s signature etched onto a bell-shaped truss rod cover.
