At a rather spicy price tag of $5,750, this eye-popping built-to-order Custom Shop guitar is modelled after the trusty ‘60s-style Strat that accompanied Bryant on his journey from small town gigs in Texas to world tours.
Featuring a 2-piece select alder body, ‘60s Oval “C” maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, the guitar sports an aged Shell Pink nitro finish topped with an engraved aluminium anodised pickguard.
Pickups include a set of Custom Shop Hand-Wound ’60s Single-Coil Strat pickup in the neck, a Custom Shop Hand-Wound RWRP ’60s Single-Coil Strat unit in the middle, and a “Shawbucker” humbucker at the bridge. All of which are wired by the usual pair of tone knobs, a master volume knob and a five-way blade pickup switch.
As for hardware, the “Pinky” consists of a Custom Shop vintage synchronised tremolo, and a set of vintage-style tuning machines with the Fender logo.
“Partnering with the Fender Custom Shop to bring the perfect Stratocaster to life has been a complete dream come true,” Bryant said in a press release.
“The guitar has been extensively put to the test in the studio and on the road and I honestly couldn’t dream up a better tool.”
“Every detail has been crafted to perfection,” Bryant added, “from the vintage-style neck shape to the custom-wound pickups. This guitar is the embodiment of my sound and style, and I can’t wait for players to experience its magic and versatility.”
The Fender Custom Shop Tyler Bryant signature “Pinky” Stratocaster comes with a deluxe hardshell case, vintage-style leather strap, and a certificate of authenticity.
