King Crimson’s In The Court Of King Crimson to get 50th anniversary reissue
King Crimson’s 1969 debut album, In The Court Of King Crimson, will be reissued for its 50th anniversary, due for release on October 25.
The seminal album will be released as part of a deluxe box set that includes new and unheard mixes in both stereo and mono format, plus an expanded version of the album and bonus track all in a four-disc package. Also included is a Blu-ray with a 5.1 stereo mix of the album.
Featuring restored artwork and new sleeve notes from the band’s resident biographer, Steve Smith, it’s also presented in a lovingly crafted gatefold box. It’s also available as a vinyl box set titled Complete 1969 Session, which documents King Crimson’s studio and live recordings from 1969.
The band have also announced a commemorative tour in support of their 50th anniversary, kicking off in North America.
