Robby Krieger teaches guitar parts to The Doors’ People Are Strange
Robby Krieger has shared a new video lesson going through his guitar parts on The Doors’ tune People Are Strange, off of the band’s 1967 LP Strange Days. “Very strange times we’re going through right now,” Krieger said in his video, “So I’d thought it’d be good to learn People Are Strange.” Take a look above.
The Doors’ official Twitter page added on to the lesson video, issuing a mini-challenge to fans to share their guitar, bass, drum, or keyboard covers of the tune for a chance to win a Doors t-shirt.

Krieger’s lesson on People Are Strange is the third instructional video to come from the Doors guitarist. His two previous videos went through the open-G tune Moonlight Drive – also off the band’s sophomore Strange Days record; and Roadhouse Blue from their fifth album, 1970’s Morrison Hotel.
Earlier this year, Krieger’s guitar work was heard on All The Time In The World, a song from American punk band, X. The song served as the album closer on the surprise ‘comeback’ LP, Alphabetland – their first album in 27 years.
