The couple – joined once again by guitarist Sidney Jake – shared the cover of the synth-pop classic to YouTube yesterday (13 June).
Toyah wrote in the video’s description: “The kitchen trio are back having travelled the world and the seven seas. Don’t miss this one, sure to provide sweet dreams.”
Watch it below:

Sweet Dreams features Annie Lennox on vocals and is considered the electronic duo’s breakout hit and was released in 1983. Lennox has also performed the song regularly during her solo performances.
The cover follows the couple’s rendition of ZZ Top’s Sharp Dressed Man in what has been a regular series of light-hearted cover videos that began at the height of the COVID-19 lockdown in the UK last year and continued every week since.
Fripp was initially displeased with the videos but later changed his tune. In an interview back in March, the King Crimson leader said: “Performers have a responsibility to perform and at this particular time to keep people’s spirits up.”
Meanwhile, King Crimson is hitting the road later this July on an extensive North American tour, supported by the Zappa Band.
Fripp announced the tour with a statement expressing his excitement: “The Crimson Beast of Terror has woken from its enforced slumbering and is venturing out to stomp flat the psyches of innocents not yet experienced in the hammering onslaught of King Crimson’s uncompromising pounding – bish! bish! bish!”
