“She said yes!”: Watch Disturbed’s David Draiman propose onstage in Sacramento

Disturbed frontman David Draiman turned a milestone tour into a personal celebration last Friday (9 May), when he proposed to girlfriend Sarah Uli live on stage during the band’s concert in Sacramento, California.
Per Blabbermouth, the moment took place just before the band launched into The Light, the penultimate song of the night, as part of Disturbed’s The Sickness 25th anniversary tour.

Addressing the packed Golden 1 Center, Draiman warmed the crowd up before setting the scene: “At this time,” he announced, “I would like to call Miss Sarah Uli to the stage, please.”
In a clip later shared on his Instagram account with the caption “We’re engaged!” Draiman can be seen pulling Sarah close before delivering a heartfelt speech: “Sarah, my love, you have made my life so much better. You are the light in the darkness for me. I love you more than anything I have ever loved in this world, and it would be the absolute pinnacle of my life and my existence…”
The singer then reached into his pocket, pulled out a ring box, and dropped to one knee.
“Sarah Uli, will you marry me?” he asked, to which Uli responded with a tearful nod.
After sliding the ring onto her finger, the pair embraced before Draiman shared with the crowd that “she said ‘yes’”.
Draiman went public with his relationship with Uli in January 2024, following his separation from his wife of more than a decade.

Meanwhile, The Sickness 25th anniversary tour — which celebrates the 25th anniversary of the band’s debut album — continues through the summer.
Earlier this year, Draiman revealed his plans to collaborate with rapper Kendrick Lamar on a modern-day crossover track to rival Walk This Way by Aerosmith and RUN DMC. He shared that the Disturbed have already got a track in the works, as part of their new, forthcoming album.
“It’s something we’ve actually been thinking about pretty seriously. And Kendrick is way at the top of the list,” Draiman told Q101.
