Summer NAMM 2019: Boss unveils next-gen RC-10R

Ahead of Summer NAMM 2019, Boss has unveiled the RC-10R, a compact looper that combines song-based looping and organic-sounding rhythms.
Unique to the RC-10R is a series-operated, two-track loop engine that’s designed to sync to rhythm perfectly. With this feature, you’ll be able to record two independent sections and create a unique rhythmic backing for each of them. And you won’t be pressed for recording space either, as the looper is capable of six hours of stereo recording time.
The RC-10R also boasts 280 rhythm style presets which comprise two unique song sections, fills tailored for song intros/ending as well as transition. This preset arsenal lets you take on genres ranging from rock to Latin to electronica and more. This preset section is also expandable, with 50 user locations available for imported SMF rhythms.
Complementing your chosen ‘style’ are 16 different kits, each with a unique sonic flavour. You can use these to transform a “groove from heavy rock to light percussion and everything in-between”, according to Boss.
Another neat feature on the RC-10R is tone filters. Essentially, these let you optimise your output for amplification through guitar , PA systems or studio monitors. And as for connectivity, the looper also offers MIDI I/Os via mini-TRS jacks.
